This thing was huge and nearly had the boat over! Martyn and I were fishing just off Teignmouth when this beast took his bait (Sandeel).
It took nearly 2 hours to stop this thing attacking us, at which point we went to the pub to get over the trauma of this event. (See video below)
A nice Bass (Mike, my son’s first ever!) caught on 9th July 2015 a couple of hours after low water from my boat on moorings at Ringmore. Caught using a Savage Gear lure (Mackerel pattern). The fish was cleanly hooked, and returned. I caught and returned a much smaller one a little later on a Savage Gear (Hot Pink). So the Bass were obviously not too fussed about lure colour that evening.
