The Mercy trailer – Donald Crowhurst biopic – Feb 9 2018 release
Some members may not be aware that a film has been made of Donald Crowhurst (played by Colin Firth) who was a Teignmouth resident and mysteriously vanished in his ill-fated attempt to compete in the 1969 Sunday Times Golden Globe Race.
Teignmouth residents will recognise some of the film locations which were shot around the town. Many locals were also used as ‘extras’ in the film, even one or two B.O.A.T. members!
Oscar-winner Rachel Weisz plays Crowhurst’s wife. The film is scheduled for release on February 9th, 2018.

B.O.A.T. Flotilla 2017
Another successful flotilla day with our annual run up to Combe Cellars. With a westerly blowing, the river had a bit of a chop on the way up but most of us managed to stay dry. Great food, loads of drink, and Martyn even supplied a loo for the ladies! Doesn’t get much better!
