People often contact B.O.A.T. asking if we offer moorings on the river. Unfortunately, we don’t.
All river moorings are administered by Teignmouth Harbour Commission. https://www.teignmouthharbour.com/harbour/moorings
Contact the Harbour office on: 01626 773165
There are basically 2 types of mooring available – Maintained & Non-Maintained
Maintained moorings are usually in deep water and maintained by the Harbour team. There is quite often a lengthy waiting list for these moorings and you would need to check with the Harbour office on availability. (See tel. no. above).
Non-Maintained are usually moorings that dry out to some extent and are maintained by the person renting the space. These can be fore & aft or swinging moorings. There is usually availability for these moorings however, check with the Harbour office first to avoid disappointment.
Dinghy Storage
You have a possible 2 options for storing your tender/dinghy.
Polly Steps –There are a limited number of dinghy racks sited in the car park at Polly Steps. These are all administered by Teignbridge Council. To get on the waiting list, see: Boat Storage at Polly Steps
Beach alongside the B.O.A.T. clubhouse –There are some ‘trots’ available on the beach by the clubhouse. These are administered by the Harbour Office (see contact details above).
If you are thinking of buying a boat to keep on the river, it is suggested you call the Harbour office first before making your purchase. They will explain what size and type of boat can be accommodated on the various moorings.
